SPRING 2010: With much of Eynsham given over to building works - including Merton Close and Eynsham Primary School - builders Leadbitter thought it timely to alert younger residents to the Health and Safety issues involved.
They visited the Primary School in March to deliver a SPLAAT (Safe PLay At All Times) presentation, highlighting the dangers that building sites can present; invited the children to create safety posters as a result of this visit; and returned to the school after the Easter holidays to present book token prizes.
The slideshow includes the winning posters and the safety presentation - click on the link above.

The winning posters were also displayed on the site hoarding; and the builders arranged similar presentations for older pupils at Bartholomew Secondary School, to make sure that local children and young people are aware of the potential dangers of building sites.
